How the site works

1: What is Foundations Revealed?
A: This website is not just a one-time standard course or a dry manual, but a motivated, exciting, all-inclusive online corsetmaking college. We offer articles, online classes, resources, help, inspiration and a sense of community for corset makers who have a burning desire to improve their skills - from complete beginners who want to make their first corset to seasoned pros looking for continuing professional development. Our members enjoy a new, unique and exclusive how-to article every week, around 2000 words long with at least 25 photos, as well as unlimited access to our entire archive of classes, tutorials, how-tos, interviews and Q&As - and our exclusive forum.

2: I was a bit surprised to find out that I have to pay to join your website. Where does the money go?
A: Membership fees are there to pay our writers. They are working, professional corsetmakers and highly experienced enthusiasts, who are paid for taking time out of their schedules to share their best and brightest secrets and produce top quality, useful classes. We do not feel that it would be fair to expect them to give away the benefit of their expertise free, or to undertake tightly deadlined work unpaid. Membership fees also pay the five members of staff who keep the site going, plus the costs of hosting, insurance, and so on.

3: Can I share the information on the site with my friends and family?
A: Please feel free to share the free articles, but please do not share our paid services with non-members. Our staff works hard to provide you with quality and content, and they deserve to be paid for their efforts. If you know someone who is interested, please join our affiliate program and encourage them to sign up. You will receive a cash commission for your efforts, and you will allow our site to continue to provide the highest quality corsetmaking information available online.

4: I just tried to sign into Foundations Revealed™, but my login was rejected.
A: First of all, clear your browser's cache and give it another go, making sure caps lock is off and ensuring that you've spelt your username and password correctly. If you still get an error, email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and tell us exactly what happens, and/or take a screenshot and send it on, and we will get it fixed as soon as we can.

 

Memberships and payment

5: How do I sign up and register as a member of Foundations Revealed™?
A: Click the Login box on the top right of this page, and hit Subscribe.

6: I don't have a credit card. How do I become a member?
A: Your membership is a recurring payment, so it must be paid by card or via a Paypal account that is linked to a card or bank account. If you don't have a suitable card and you still can't persuade your Paypal account to co-operate, you can buy a one-off gift certificate for yourself, which doesn't recur - Paypal is less picky about those.

7: I used to be a member and cancelled, but now I want to come back. Can I still use my old username and password?
A: Yes, of course, welcome back! Here's how to renew your membership:

  1. Go to your My Account page and log in.
  2. Hit "Add/Renew Subscription" at the top of the page.
  3. Select the new membership type that you want.
  4. Hit "Next" and you'll be taken to Paypal to complete payment.

8: I'm already a member - how do I change my subscription to cover a different site or sites?

You'll need to sign up for a new membership and cancel your "old" one. For example, if you are a member of Foundations Revealed right now, and you want to be a member of Foundations AND Your Wardrobe Unlock'd, you'll need to sign up for a combined Foundations/Wardrobe membership, and then cancel the old Foundations-only membership. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Members Area and log in.
  2. Hit "Add/Renew Subscription" at the top of the page.
  3. Select the new membership type that you want.
  4. Hit "Next" and you'll be taken to Paypal to complete payment.
  5. Now cancel your "old" membership (instructions in question 10, below).

9: Paypal have emailed me to tell me that my payment failed this month, and now I can't get into Foundations Revealed™. What should I do?
A: Don't panic! Paypal will try the payment multiple times over a period of a few days, so sit tight and it will probably right itself. If it still can't take payment, perhaps because your credit card expired, for example, then it will cancel your membership. Here's what to do if that happens:

  1. Check your Paypal account and ensure that everything's in order (eg your new credit card details are in place).
  2. If you were paying a Special Offer price for your membership, email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for instructions on how to reinstate it before going any further.
  3. Go to your Foundations Revealed™ My Account page and log in.
  4. Hit "Add/Renew Subscription" at the top of the page.
  5. Select the new membership type that you want.
  6. Hit "Next" and you'll be taken to Paypal to complete payment.

10: How do I cancel my membership?
A: We are sorry to see you go! You can cancel your membership yourself in your Paypal account.

  1. Log into your Paypal account as normal.
  2. On the top menu bar, go to Profile > My Money.
  3. Find "My Pre-Approved Payments" in the list of options and click on "Update", on the right.
  4. Click on Harman Hay Publications.
  5. Hit "Cancel" and confirm by clicking "Yes."

You will continue to have access to the members-only pages until the date you paid up to. In other words, if you signed up on December 15th and you cancel on August 3rd, you will continue to have access until August 14th - the day before your membership for the next month would have been due.

11: I meant to cancel my membership but forgot. I cancelled now, can I have a refund?
A: Unfortunately, we do not offer full or partial refunds for late cancellations. You must cancel your membership BEFORE the next payment date in order to not be charged. Once you have cancelled you will continue to have access to the members-only pages until the date you are paid up to.

Simply tell a friend how much you enjoy Foundations Revealed™ and we'll pay you a generous commission after they sign up! 12: I referred someone to your site, but I forgot to use my affiliate link. Can I still get credit?
A: No, unfortunately you must use your affiliate link in order to receive affiliate credit. This is necessary for accounting and tax purposes.
