If you're already a subscriber, go to "My Account" and log in with your usual username and password. Look for the "Advertise our website to your friends and earn money" link in the right hand column.

If you're not a subscriber you can still take part in the scheme by signing up for an affiliate account here. You'll be able to earn money by promoting the site, but you won't be a subscriber so you won't pay anything and you won't have access to the subscribers-only sections of the site.

Use banners to make sales

Once you sign up or log in, you'll be taken to the Affiliate members' area, where you'll find banners and links that you can use to promote the site. When users click on to FR through your banner or link and sign up, the system logs this in your stats table (also in the Affiliates area) and you earn a $9.97 commission. When you set up your affiliate account and pick up your banners and links, don't forget to click through to Update your commissions payout info to give the system your payment details, or we can't pay you!

Some ideas on where to use the banners and links:

• Post them on your website
• Put one in the signature on your emails or on message boards
• Place one in your Livejournal, Facebook or MySpace profile
• Tell your friends directly by inserting them in your journal posts or in online communities who might be interested (remember to be subtle - no-one likes a door-to-door salesman!)

Your stats table also includes a log of how many people are clicking through with your link but not signing up yet, so you can keep track of how you're doing.

Getting paid

Commissions are paid into your Paypal account at the beginning of each month, three months after the commission is earned. However, the commission you've earned will appear immediately in your stats table so that you can keep track of your earnings.

Why the delay? Foundations Revealed^TM has a money-back guarantee. When a friend of yours signs up, keep in mind that if they should take advantage of that guarantee and ask for a refund, your commission for their sale will also be forfeited from your affiliate account. By waiting until the dust settles for the money to change hands, we can minimise messy or confusing situations. Rest assured that this delay is standard across Internet affiliate programs, and that in fact, many programs wait up to four months to pay you. We prefer to deliver the cash as soon as possible!
